The FLiP difference

Everything the big apps aren't.

National weight-loss apps hand you off to rotating call centers and faceless algorithms. We're different — with real names and familiar faces. Our care is led by local clinicians you know and trust, not a distant medical director who only exists on a contract.

A practice, not an app

Your care is led by Board-Certified NPs and RNs you know by name — not a rotating queue. How many CEOs do you know who run into burning homes and save lives both in and pre-hospital? Ours does!

One honest price

Your consultation, prescription, medication, supplies and shipping are all included. No surprise fees, no upsells — just one clear monthly number that never changes, even as your dose climbs.

The same provider, every time

Joe personally reviews your plan within 24 hours and follows your progress over time — real continuity you simply can't get from a faceless app.

Compounded & quality-tested

Your medication is prepared by vetted, U.S.-based 503A compounding pharmacies and shipped discreetly and securely straight to your home.

Choose your program

Two proven medications. Honest, transparent pricing.

Semaglutide is a GLP-1; Tirzepatide is a dual-action GIP/GLP-1. Brand-name versions can run $1,000+ a month — our compounded programs start at $199* (Semaglutide) and $299* (Tirzepatide), and your nurse practitioner matches you to the right one.

Built by clinicians who answer the call.

It started with Joseph Christensen's personal battle with lifelong obesity. Frustrated by a system that failed him, he founded Fit Living in Progress to deliver the compassionate, complete care he wished he had received. Joe knew true wellness required a dual focus: healing the body from the inside out, and enhancing it from the outside in. Because we get it — even if we don't want to admit it, we all care about how we look. And that's okay! It's human.

But a dream only goes so far without the perfect catalyst to answer the call. A year later, following a distinguished five-year tenure as Fire Chief, entered Brent Lankford — taking command, putting the fire under our growth, and accelerating our progress. Today, Brent leads the charge as President & CEO. Alongside him, Joe serves as FLiP's clinical conscience — ensuring business goals never compromise patient safety, professional integrity, or medical excellence as VP & Chief Clinical Officer.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

What is a Good Faith Exam?

A brief telehealth evaluation with a licensed provider, required before any prescription. They review your health history and confirm you're a candidate — establishing a valid provider–patient relationship so your care is safe, legal, and personalized.

Who actually writes my prescription?

For compounded Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, your prescription is written by a qualified physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. For all other peptide therapies, a qualified physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant reviews your health history and confirms whether you're a candidate for peptide therapy — and our Chief Clinical Officer, Joseph Christensen, APRN, FNP-BC, personally reviews and guides the best peptide therapies to meet your goals, when it's clinically appropriate.

Is treatment safe?

Yes — with real clinical oversight behind it. Every plan begins with a Good Faith Exam, where a licensed provider reviews your health history, current medications, and any contraindications. Nothing is prescribed unless it's clinically appropriate for you. Your medications are prepared by vetted, U.S.-based compounding pharmacies that are state-licensed, FDA-registered, and held to strict standards for sterility, potency, and quality. From there we start low, titrate at your pace, and monitor your progress over time — and you can message your provider whenever something doesn't feel right. As with any medication, side effects are possible; your provider will walk through the benefits and risks with you before you begin and adjust your plan whenever needed.

Do I need to live in Maryland?

For now, yes — and it comes down to how telehealth is regulated. Care is licensed state by state, and current law requires you to be physically located in Maryland at the time of your telehealth visit. You don't have to be a lifelong Marylander; you simply need to be in-state during your encounter. Prefer to be seen face-to-face? You're always welcome for an in-person visit at our Prince Frederick office. Depending on the medication, it may ship directly to our office for pickup — so we can walk you through exactly how to use it — or discreetly to your door if you're farther away. We're expanding into additional states — and moving fast — so check back soon or reach out and we'll let you know the moment we're licensed in your area.

Do you accept insurance?

No — and that's deliberate. FLiP is a self-pay practice, which is exactly what lets us keep pricing honest and transparent: no copays, no deductibles, no prior authorizations, and no surprise bill three months later. The price you see is the price you pay, and it covers everything listed in your program. We accept cash, credit, debit, and eligible HSA and FSA cards — and we're glad to provide an itemized receipt if you'd like to seek reimbursement on your own.

Do you accept HSA and FSA?

Yes. Many of our patients use their Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card to pay for care with us, and we'll provide an itemized receipt for your records. Final eligibility is set by your plan administrator, so it's worth a quick check — and if your plan requires a Letter of Medical Necessity (LOMN), our Chief Clinical Officer is always more than happy to write one for you. It's a smart way to put pre-tax dollars toward your health.

Are results guaranteed?

As with any medication or treatment, results vary from person to person — and no honest clinician can promise you an exact number on the scale or a specific clinical outcome. Anyone who does should give you pause. What we can tell you is this: treatment works best paired with consistency in how you eat, move, sleep, and follow up, and your provider stays with you the whole way to adjust the plan as your body responds. And while we can never guarantee exact results, we do guarantee our effort and your satisfaction — if you're ever not completely satisfied with your care, tell us and we'll do everything we can to make it right.

Are you HIPAA and PHI protected?

Absolutely — privacy isn't an afterthought here, it's built into how we operate. Your personal and protected health information (PHI) is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored on secure, access-controlled systems, and handled in full compliance with HIPAA. Only the clinical team directly involved in your care can open your chart, access is logged, and we never sell your information or share it for advertising. Your visits, your messages, and your shipments stay discreet — what you discuss with your provider stays between you and your care team.
